The thing about travel is that it’s never just about the destination. Sometimes it’s about the motive — or even the result. I’ve travelled to heal, to celebrate, and sometimes to escape. For me, travel has led to deep self-discovery. I’ve learned things about myself that I never could have uncovered sitting at home on my couch.

I discovered how brave I was when I got lost in France after taking the wrong train. I ended up in the middle of nowhere, lost for almost two hours, and thanks to Google, I eventually found my way back. Navigating public transport in a foreign country teaches you patience and the value of proper planning. Any water I’ve tasted outside my hometown has made me appreciate home even more. The places I’ve seen and the foods I’ve tasted have sparked new ideas and inspired recipes I love sharing with friends and family. I’ve made unforgettable friends and received kindness from strangers in the most unexpected places and moments.

What keeps me seeking new adventures again and again is the feeling I get when I’m out discovering new places feeling free, excited, amazed, relaxed, safe, calm, and more like myself each time. It’s a feeling you never quite get over — one you’ll always find yourself chasing.

Here, I aim to share real and inspiring stories about travel, from street markets to seaside stays, local eats to hidden gems. Whether it’s a big adventure, a weekend getaway, or a short drive to the next town, each experience teaches you something and I want to share it all with you.
